Zuzana Kašparova and Terezie Ferjancekova, the duo behind the provocative title of the podcast, with sincerity and humor break down stereotypical ideas not only about sex and intimacy. At the same time, he openly shares his own secular experiences, which many readers can easily relate to.

According to many, their immediate approach is what is gaining more and more supporters. “We asked ourselves why people listen to us. What they really appreciate about us when it cannot be our sexual expertise. Based on feedback from fans, loved ones, independent observers and our conscience , we decided that it would be our openness and our desire to share”, write the authors in the preface of the book.

“We started to share things that no one on the Czech scene before us shared. We talked about the color of the vulva, vaginal breasts, ‘period poo’, menstrual sex and marten. We didn’t We haven’t talked about it in a position of authority, but as two friends having a private, intimate and sometimes a little awkward conversation over wine or tea.

According to the authors, their podcast, which first appeared online in July 2019, isn’t just about sex — nor is the book of the same name. “It’s about intimacy, bodies, relationships and most of all about us. It captures our thoughts, opinions and attitudes as we wrote them. We look forward to them aging,” they say.

Informal discussions on all sorts of topics, often attended by experts, are supplemented by a glossary of terms and two personal essays in which the two authors confide in more detail about their inner feelings. One captures anxiety, the other pain after separation.

“The two essays capture the time we wrote them. Today it would be written differently, the context, the seasons and the tarot card have changed. What already. We keep them here like torn pages from diaries that we don’t want”, they admit.

BOOK SAMPLE

Z: Praising the first sexual intercourse is quite exceptional. Do you think you wanted it to be as big as you suggested?
T: Probably. My boyfriend and I made a lot of love back then. So for us, there was no other outcome of the relationship than great sex.
Z: Because my first sex was definitely not great. I didn’t want to admit at the moment how bad it was, but I know in retrospect that the circumstances were truly unfortunate.
T: But you have a diametrically different experience. I didn’t bleed. Nothing really hurt me, or I don’t remember any significant pain. We even used lube back then.
Z: Yeah, I bled a lot.
T: Do you think the hymen was to blame?
Z: Maybe. Everyone has a different one. Someone has cracks before sex, someone has it intact…but the membrane itself isn’t very bloody so it was probably that I wasn’t too wet or mentally prepared…J was very tight and I probably had injuries inside.
T: I don’t even think I had a membrane. I don’t even remember having any stains, traces of blood after my first sexual intercourse, and that’s what I was looking for. But I remember after having sex I had stains on my panties.
Z: Blood?
T: Rather so dirty. But this may be because some cracks may have formed in the vagina due to rougher sex.
Z: My thighs leaked the first time I had sex. I remember looking at my thigh, which was running a trickle of blood.
T: I’m sorry, you must have been scared.
Z: I didn’t expect that at all. I thought it would be the blood that soiled your panties as much as possible. But it flowed towards me as if I was shaking my head. It hurt extremely. I also remember that he couldn’t enter me for a long time…
T: And you were excited before that?
Z: I don’t think so.
T: Yeah.
