Czech Republic celebrates National Day at spring-themed Expo 2020 Dubai, strengthens ties with UAE

He said the Czech Republic Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will take visitors on a transformational journey characterized by unique technological innovations developed by Czech universities and companies.

Sheikh Nahyan said the Czech Pavilion stands out among visitors with its unique architecture, which contains nine kilometers of hand-welded steel construction known to be the largest of its kind in the world.

Education Memorandum of Understanding

The day also strengthened relations between the two countries in the field of education with two of the best educational institutions – the Faculty of Medicine of the United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University. The deans of the institutions Mr. Jumaa Al Kaabi and Professor Dr. Moudar. Martin Fukorka gradually signed the memorandum of understanding.

Possible areas of cooperation between the two universities include medical education, clinical placement of undergraduate medical students in teaching hospitals and medical buildings, exchange of teachers, researchers and staff, activities joint research and publications.

This will also include participation in academic seminars and meetings and participation in academic programs duly approved by universities and authorities.

The memorandum also includes an agreement on the exchange of students in selected programs, the exchange of academic and scientific subjects and the inclusion of BIOCEV (European Center of Excellence in Biomedicine and Biotechnology) of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in the framework of research cooperation.
